Our wallpapers have been created to work in all indoor environments and are suitable for both low and high traffic areas. We work on all types of commercial projects for trade customers all over the world. You'll find our wallpapers in some of the best hotels and restaurants and in the offices of some of the world's biggest brands.
If your mural will be used in a high traffic area, we would recommend using our Pro paper. This option will give the greatest resistance to damage, stains and is extremely hardwearing. Our paper types are commercially fire rated and you can view more about our paper types here.

Absolutely. We understand you might want to check out our papers in the comfort of your own home before proceeding to order and we would be happy to help you with this! Our samples will give you the chance to check the quality of our Standard, Pro, Peel & Stick and repeat pattern roll paper types and the colours in any of the designs.
You can order samples on the product pages of the website for a small fee — from there we'll get them printed especially for you and dispatched within two working days.
​​Unfortunately, we are not able to offer custom samples of our Peel & Stick paper and Pro paper to residential customers. However, due to the Peel & Stick and Standard grade having identical face material, we recommend ordering Standard grade samples instead.
If you'd still like to view the Peel & Stick or Pro paper, we can send a technical sample of each upon request, just email contact@hovia.com.
For commercial customers, we offer custom samples of our Pro paper as well as the Standard grade. Drop us an email at commercial@hovia.com with your request and one of our dedicated Account Executives will be more than happy to help you with this.
We print all orders as quickly as possible and aim to have your order delivered in 3-5 working days. If you have an urgent deadline, please contact us at contact@hovia.com and we'll do all we can to ensure your order is dispatched as soon as possible to give it the best chance of arriving in time for your deadline. ​
Please note, there may be additional delays in transit outside of our control, including, delays from our delivery partners, Fedex, PostNord, and UPS. For countries that may require custom fees, these can on occasion delay the delivery process. Whilst we will always attempt to have your product with you as quickly as possible, please be mindful of these potential delays due to factor outside of Hovia's remit.

We ship worldwide, but we’re a British brand born in Liverpool. Everything we do is in-house, from designing and making our own products, to supporting our customers, which means you’re in safe hands with us.
Your new wallpaper will be rolled inside a secure Hovia branded box and be protected inside with inner packaging to protect it during transit.
For our standard repeat pattern rolls, then each roll will be rolled up separately. For our murals, there will be one roll divided up into strips, each strip to your mural’s height and numbered in ascending order to be installed from left to right.
If ordering multiple murals or wallpapers, then they will be clearly labelled so you know which one is which. For larger quantities there may be more than one box delivered, get in touch with our team at contact@hovia.com if you need any further help with this.
Yes, our wallpapers give a creative twist to bathroom decor. It is important that the room is well ventilated and that the paper is not directly exposed to water.
We would also recommend using anti-mould paste and adding 20% dispersion to the paste as the paste needs to be a little stronger when installing in bathrooms. You can also purchase paste with dispersion already mixed in. Speak to your local DIY shop to find out what's best for your wall.
There can be some variation between computer monitors and the final printed product. This is due to individual brightness and colour intensity settings, however, this is usually very minimal. Colours can also look slightly different depending on the material they are printed on.
If you have any specific concerns about colour matching, we would suggest sending a sample for you before you make the final order to give you a more accurate idea of colour. Please note we would actually suggest colour-matching paints etc. where possible once you have received the final product.​

Standard wallpaper:
Our repeat pattern wallpaper is supplied in rolls that measure 50cm wide and 10m in length. The pattern repeat lengths can be found on each product page and are installed just like the traditional wallpaper rolls you may have experienced before.

​Standard paper mural:
Our Standard paper murals are supplied on a roll which is then divided into multiple strips (drops) of 50cm in width and to your mural’s height.
​
Each drop is numbered, so you know exactly how the mural fits together and the order in which to hang your mural. Simply start from one side of the wall and continue to hang each panel of wallpaper, matching the design as you move along the wall until the mural is complete.

Pro paper mural:
Our Pro paper is slightly different in that it is supplied on a roll which is then divided into multiple panels of up to 1.2m in width and to your mural’s height.

Again, each panel is numbered, so you know exactly how the mural fits together and the order in which to hang your mural. Simply start from one side of the wall and continue to hang each drop of wallpaper, matching the design using an overlap and splice method as you move along the wall until the mural is complete.

Our Peel & Stick paper murals are supplied on a roll which is then divided into multiple strips (drops) of 50cm in width and to your mural’s height.

We want you to be 100% happy with your new wallpaper and as such we would suggest to carefully follow our DIY friendly installation process. Lay out each drop of wallpaper and have all the tools required to hand to ensure a smooth installation.
For our paste the wall wallpaper, once it has been applied to the wall and the paste has dried, it cannot be rehung or repositioned.
Our self-adhesive wallpaper can be repositioned during installation however once it has been installed, it cannot be removed and re-hung.
Your new wallpaper will arrive in a Hovia branded kraft box.
Our Standard paper type, Peel and Stick, and standard pattern repeats arrive in a box that measures approximately 58cm x 20cm x 9cm.
Our Pro paper orders arrive in a box approximately 130cm x 10cm x 10cm or a slightly larger box of 130cm x 18cm x 18cm. Note. Your wallpaper may arrive in multiple boxes if it's a larger order.
Children's bedrooms are one of the most popular spaces to use our products. You can get some inspiration from our selection of beautiful customer photos.
Safety is a priority to us and we use only non-toxic papers, inks and toners to keep your little ones safe. All of our paper types are washable. Our Pro paper is tougher when cleaning and is stain resistant whilst also being extremely durable against knocks and scratches.​

We use only the finest materials for our wallpaper products and they have been put through rigorous testing to ensure they are fit for use in both residential and commercial spaces. With this in mind, prevention is still the best strategy to keep your wallpaper in top condition. We recommend ensuring that care is taken around your wallpaper and to not install in places where the likelihood of contact is excessive.
Our Standard and Peel & Stick wallpapers are finished with a water-based matte coating, ensuring washable durability as well as minimising shine.
If durability is a key concern of yours then we would recommend our Heavy paper option which is a premium 300gsm paper-backed vinyl product - perfect for areas of high traffic.

We’ve always cared about our environmental impact. Since we were founded in 2010, we’ve kept sustainability front of mind in every element of our work. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but know there is lots more to do.
Products & materials
The paper we use for our Standard and Peel & Stick grades are FSC Mix Credit Certified, and our inks and toners are non-toxic.
Distribution & storage
As we print our wallpaper to order, we don’t need big warehouses to store stock. This means we create very little waste and don’t use excess energy, woohoo! Read more on this below.
Energy & waste
We use 100% renewable energy in our office in Liverpool, including to power our website servers.
We recycle our ink cartridges to stop them ending up in landfill and we’re constantly reviewing our use of plastics to reduce and remove them completely where possible.
We pack our wallpaper in very secure cardboard packaging so if your mural hasn't arrived as it should then please do let us know so we can resolve the problem as a matter of urgency.
Firstly, we ask that you please accept and sign for the shipment. This allows us to deal with the issue much quicker than having the courier return the shipment to us. We then ask that you please send photos of any damage to the packaging and product to contact@hovia.com along with your order ID for one of our team to assess for you.
We can then get to work on having a replacement shipped out to you as top priority using the fastest possible delivery services in your area.
Note: please make sure to keep hold of the damaged product until we have advised you on next steps.
We want your wallpaper to help create your dream living space and with this in mind, it has been designed to last for many years! It cannot be removed and re-hung unfortunately.

Our Standard grade is equipped with a strippable coating on the back for easy removal, this can be done by steaming or soaking and then slowly peeling it from the wall.
​
Our Peel and Stick wallpaper can be removed easily by peeling it away from the wall, making it perfect if you live in a rental space or plan to move home in the future!
Our Pro grade has a classic kraft-backing, therefore it requires steaming and scraping off the wall.
Please note that cosmetic damage to the wall / paint may occur with all paper types.

We always advise you to double and triple-check your dimensions before placing an order with us. We can change the dimensions of your order at any point before payment is made. Unfortunately, once a mural has been paid for and your image preview approved, we can't accept any further changes due to the bespoke nature of our product.

At Hovia, we take pride in providing premium wallpaper that meet the needs of our customers. However, we understand that sometimes things may not go as planned, and you may need to return your purchase.
Returns are accepted within 60 days of receiving your parcel, which also includes custom-made wallpapers. You may still return the wallpaper if you have cut the strips apart.
To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at contact@hovia.com, and they will provide you with instructions on how to proceed.

Although samples can give a good indication of colour, we do not recommend colour matching to a sample due to slight variance between print batches. As a result we always recommend colour matching to your final received wallpaper for a perfect match. To avoid this issue you can request your wallpaper advisor to arrange a sample to be printed at the same time as your mural so that you have something to take into paint shops, furniture shops etc. This will be the closest match in colour to your mural.

We are super proud of our speedy dispatch, covering most of the world in just 3-5 working days from payment to delivery. However, sometimes when producing bespoke goods or shipping internationally, there can be unexpected delays. While very rare, because of this we recommend that all customers wait until they receive their wallpaper prior to booking an installer.
Once your wallpaper arrives, please check your wallpaper prior to installation to ensure that everything has arrived as ordered and is in top condition. That way we can fix any unlikely issues before the paper is installed and you have had to call out your decorator.

Please note, international shipments may be subject to import taxes and customs duties that are levied by the destination country. Fees vary depending on your local administration and you should contact your local customs office for further information.
Your wallpaper will be delivered via tracked courier and in most cases they will need your signature to complete delivery. We will provide full tracking details for your order once shipped where you can provide your own preferences on delivery such as date, safe space and whether to leave with a neighbour etc.
Once payment has been received on an order, production begins immediately and for the vast majority of the world, delivery will be made in 3-5 working days from that point.
We will keep you informed during the production process and inform you in the unlikely event that there are delays.
Once your order has been dispatched, you can track its progress by following the full tracking information you will be sent by email. Our orders are shipped via air, using a tracked courier service which offers comprehensive delivery features such as changing dates, allocating safe spaces and leaving your parcel with a neighbour.

Yes, absolutely. We can customise most of our designs, so if that means a colour change to match your room or moving certain aspects of a design around, let us know and we can get working on that for you.

We want our customers to be completely satisfied with the design of their murals so you can make as many changes as needed to get it perfect for you, at no extra charge.
Time to get creative.
For all mural orders, we will supply you with a scaled preview based on your submitted wall dimensions so you can see exactly what will be printed. Simply head to your chosen product, click the 'Customise & Buy' button, and on the next page you can input your wall dimensions where a preview will be generated to show you exactly how it looks. You can flip and drag this preview to get the exact layout you would like.
If the preview doesn't look quite right and you would like a change, just click the 'Make Change' button above the preview and fill out your request - our talented Client Designers will then get to work on fulfilling this for you.
For personalised murals or particularly large requests that cannot be handled by our online preview tool, we may have to email this proof image across to you instead within 1 working day along with all of our payment options. If this is the case, just drop us an email at contact@hovia.com and we will be happy to help.
Once payment is received, you’ll receive a payment confirmation email. All orders are then printed and dispatched via express delivery via Fedex, PostNord or DHL.

​Delivery will take place within 3-5 working days of payment and we will send over tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Don’t worry, we can help! To ensure smooth installation, lay out the wallpaper panels and for the first one, mark a panel’s width using a pencil on the wall. Hold a plumbline or spirit level to draw a vertical line down, this will give you a guide to ensure the first panel is hung straight.

Firstly, it depends on if the walls you are looking to fill are connected - if they are simply enter the combined width and the largest height of the walls when requesting your quote on our website. From there we would produce this as one mural with the pattern or design flowing perfectly across the two walls!
If you are looking to hang a mural onto two separate walls, get in touch via contact@hovia.com with the dimensions of each wall and the design (or designs if different!) and we will create your order for you.
While this is very rare, there are a number of reasons why it may happen. Please contact us with this query and some photos on contact@hovia.com and we will be able to assist.
We recommend that you measure your wall at a variety of points to ensure you find the widest and highest points. From there, we then recommend that you add an additional 5-10cm to both the width and height to cover any margins of error and uneven walls.

We will create your wallpaper so that the pattern or design flows perfectly! When installing, ensure that the first panel is hung straight, this is vital for successful installation of your mural. Use a plumb line or spirit level to mark a panel's width on the wall, this will give you a guide when hanging the first panel and ensure it’s hung straight.
